I really wasn't sure what to expect for $40, but I find this flag pole kit to be well worth the price. Before I purchased I was concerned about how well the pole pieces would fit together (snug of loose?). Quite snug I must say. Flag and pole have withstood constant winds of 20-25 mph with gusts of 40-50 mph.

Good price for product if you are only attaching 1 flag. I attached 2 flags and when the winds came the pole BENT. thank god for a hack saw i didnt have to salvage the whole thing

Good, but has a wind problem Dec 01, 2010

Bought two of these flagpoles for our property in Texas. After about a week, we had a strong wind (about 30 MPH) come through here, and it laid one of the flagpoles flat on the ground. Bent the first section 90 degrees exiting the ground sleeve. I tried to contact them through Amazon, but Amazon told me they did not have a valid e-mail address for the company, so I searched for them online, found them and contacted them through their website. They responded quickly, and told me they had replacement sections available for $8.00 +shipping, so I bought one. But to be sure this didn't happen again, I purchased a 1 1/2 inch 5 foot PVC pipe at Home Depot for $2.80 and put it in the ground sleeve, then put the first flagpole section over it. That appears to have strengthened it enough to keep that section from bending again. But overall for the price, the flagpoles are good, and serve my purpose beautifully, plus, the company responded quickly when I needed help. So I give it 4 stars.
Update on my experience with this flagpole: Well, 10 months has gone by now, and we have had winds over 40 MPH, but since I added the 1 1/2 inch PVC pipe, it has never bent or broken again. So you may want to invest in a $3.00 piece of PVC pipe if you are in a windy area.

I am very happy with this flag pole kit. It looks great in my patio. It was easy to assemble and install. The flag is a little on the light weight side so don't know how long it will last. But at the price I cannot complain.
