4th of July - Flag Pole Jul 23, 2010

The Flag pole came a day early (1 July) and in good shape (little tear in corner of box)
(2 July) I dug a hole 30" deep and 12" around - I back filled the hole with crushed rock and put in two layers of weed cloth to keep concrete out of the tube. (to create a drain for rain coming down the pole) I set three tent pegs an equal distance from the hole (about 6' out and at 120 degrees from each other). I then set the telescoped pole in the plastic tube and the plastic tube in the hole (top of the plastic tube flush with the surface of the ground and leveled the pole with ropes to the tent pegs. I poured in 60lbs of concrete in to the hole around the tube and checked the pole for level. A good level VERY important. A 20' pole will show any mistakes)
After getting all the stuff out in the front yard .(flag pole, post hole digger, crushed rock, weed cloth, tent pegs, 3' level, hammer, rope, concrete and water hose) The total install time was about 35 minutes.

I hung a new US Flag on the pole and extended the pole 20' up in front of the house.
Better then fireworks, good solid pole, US Made Flag
If I ever need another flag pole, I'll order the same one.

"God is good!"
We've had it for over a year, and it holds up well to high wind, is easy to raise and lower, and we love the extra height as we can see it flying from the upper floor windows.

Overall I am pleased with this telescoping flagpole. The push-button pins easily releases and locks each section in place. This pole replaces an inferior flagpole I had previously which used a twisting action to extend the sections. Once moisture seeped into the sections of that pole you could no longer raise or lower the pole. I recommend this push-pin style telescoping pole design which uses a heavier gauge metal and extends up to 20ft allowing you to fly two flags. My only complaint is that the brass ball arrived damaged even though the pole came in an extra heavy cardboard tube. However, once I called the supplier, they promptly sent me a replacement.

I ordered this flagpole for my Husband's birthday. Although I had some difficulty with the 20ft Telescoping Flagpole with sewn nylon Valley Forge Flag. I contacted customer svc and within days I received a new one. Very happy with the quickness of getting my husband a new flag pole. Its wonderful to see every morning. My neighbor is enjoying it also. Thanks so much

After studying the reviews, I purchased this pole, flag and, light in hopes it would meet my expectations. I envisioned a sturdy, durable, attractive pole to display the flag in front of my residence. I am pleased to say that the pole , light, and flag exceeded my expectations and are an asset to my home.
