I was a bit suprised to find this pole not only of better than expected quality, but it also does keep the flag from tangling. We have only had it a couple of months and, although we fly the flag every day, have not had a single time when it was wrapped around the pole. It is, as I mentened, very good quality aluminum and very sturdy. I'd give this item all fifty stars...

This is a good, basic flagpole, designed to fit into a standard 1" bracket. I'm using it with the "Valley Forge 60753 1" Flag Bracket", also sold by Flags Unlimited. Note this pole is white, so if you're using it as a companion to the company's "Spinning Flagpole 3x5 U.S. USA American Flag Kit", which has a silver pole, you'll have a slight mismatch.
One reviewer said he needed a zip tie to attach the bottom grommet for his flag. Errr, not exactly - the problem is, there are no instructions included (who needs instructions for a flagpole, right??), but the flag attachment isn't intuitively obvious. There are two plastic rings, each with a plastic screw that tightens the ring to the pole. You have to completely remove the screw, insert it through the grommet, and then screw it back into the ring. Like I said, it's not obvious, and the flag hangs a little funny that way. But only if you look reeeaaaallll close. Basically, it works fine once you figure out the trick. And it is indeed tangle-free, just as advertised.
I'm giving this 4-stars because the rings and screws are just plastic, and in time will break, in which case you *will* be needing those zip ties after all.

Great product, doesn't tangle, looks great...if you get the right item! It took 3 tries for the seller to get me the item I ordered. I ordered the SILVER spinning tangle-free flagpole and received a flag pole with a gold eagle on top. Contacted seller and they sent out a gold ball topper. Contacted them again and they finally sent the correct flagpole. I wrote a negative review of the seller and was called and harassed into removing review. which I refused to do. Seller has since update my review to read that the item I ordered had the wrong image! If the image was wrong, then so was the descriptions..which read 6 foot 2-piece Spinning Tangle-Free Flagpole SILVER-SALE PRICE! Gave 4 stars only because flagpole is nice.

This is a hansome and well-produced metal flagpole. Designed to slot into a bracket that you usually attach to your house. It's nice looking and functions well to keep your flag from getting tangled in the wind. It has a nice attachment for the top of the flag, but none for the bottom! I used a plastic disposable zip tie, but would have preferred a proper attachment. This product is so well made that I'm surprised that they neglected this one item.

Our last tangle-free flagpole lasted about 2 years in frequently windy conditions (before it finally broke in half). Upon initial examination of this product, I believe it will last at least that long, probably longer. If you take the flag down in stormy/windy weather, this flagpole might last forever. As far as the anti-tangle mechanism, it is the standard ball bearings found in other similar flagpoles. The rotation of the pole is smooth, and I don't expect to have problems with this function either. For the money, you cannot go wrong with this product.
