2Misinformed...  Dec 04, 2010

When I bought the flag pole it looked nice on the website and as if it should fit into a flagpole bracket just fine. Unfortunately the decorative end fell apart during shipping, which I would have glued back together and back on except the other end has a rubber gripper that does not fit into the bracket. So right now we use it with the rubber gripper sticking out and what should be the decorative end in the bracket (and it looks a little silly), but it will do until we find another flagpole that is nicer than this one.

3Bad design.  Sep 14, 2010

The pole comes with a clear plastic sleeve that fits over a regular flag pole. There are two plastic rings that fit at the bottom and the top of the sleeve. One is supposed to keep the flag attachment anchored in place and the other to keep the sleeve from sliding down to the bottom of the flagpole. Unfortunately with the weight of the flag they are not tight enough to hold either in place. I called the company to see if I was doing something wrong and they stated maybe it was defective. I had ordered two so I checked the other flag pole and it did the same thing. I ended up anchoring the anchors with rubber bands and that prevented them from allowing the flag to slide to the end of the pole. I know it is not a permanent solution (in the winter the rubber bands will freeze and break), but it will work until I can figure something else out.
