It says in their (the manufacturer's web site) advertising that it is foolproof and it works with vertical or horizontal poles. WRONG! Now, after purchasing this and being just as frustruated as before because my flag still furls, the manufacturer emails me that the flag has to be at a 45 degree angle. Well anybody who hangs a decorative flag knows that it hangs at a 90 degree angle for the right look, on a horizontal pole. This manufacturer never returned my call and it took two efforts in over a week to get them to respond. It isn't Amazon.com's fault that this was falsey advertised and they shouldn't be responsible for the return expenses, but neither should I. This product is not advertised correctly/completely, and I hope amazon discontinues carrying it.

I ordered these to use on my Dad's flagpole. He had the pole less than a year and the ones that came with the pole broke. I replaced them with these and they are really heavy duty and so signs of breakage. The flag store told me I needed to buy a new pole again, but these worked and were a lot less expensive than buying a third flag pole.
