Not Pleased- at first. Sep 01, 2009
By Donald R. Blackwell I purchased a Camco telescoping flagpole. The sections were to be raised and set with a "twist and grip" mechanism. The slightest wind and the twist and grip would release and a section, or two, would slide back into its lower one. I contaced Camco and they very graciously asked me to take a picture of the top section of the mast and send it to them. The pole I had purchased was no loger the model they had on the market so they replaced it with one that has "pop" pins that lock the sections in place. It worked well for four camping trips. On our last trip, the lower section of the pole would not release; the top three were fine, but the fourh one would not release. I tried everything, including WD40. When I returned it to the RV dealer they put it in their aluminum recycling bin!
But, alas! Upon calling CAMCO Mfg. and speaking to a very polite gal, they are shipping me a new pole at no charge. Talk about customer relations!!!!!!
Nice RV flagpole Jan 11, 2012
By Goodbye and goodnight I got this for my husband for Christmas. It was his heart's desire. You know it will be the best one for the job and price because he researches before he makes his request and I was even given the link. We were camping in our Airstream in Laguna Beach on the hill over-looking Chrystal Cove for the holiday. He opened it first so when we unhitched we could place the "foot" of the pole under the jack. Very elegant solution for the stability problem. He did complain about the quality of the carabiners that clip the flag to the pole and said he would eventually get better ones, but in every other way he thought it was great. Now, he is an engineer and loves a technical challenge so set up and breakdown didn't seem to give him too much "challenge". Flown at night, Old Glory must have a light on it by law, and daily takedown and put up was necessary but easy. We're still trying to figure out the light thing. It looks nice, travels beautifully in its own carrying case that doesn't take too much room and now we can show our colors proudly.

Camco 20 ft Flagpole does not retract! Apr 05, 2011
By george I bought my 1st Camco 20 ft flagpole 2 years ago. After a couple of weeks it would no longer lower all the way. I contacted Camco and asked if WD-40 would help. The responded no and shipped me a replacement. I have now gone threw five of their flag poles and all have developed the same problem. Camco claims nobody else has had this problem....... check it out, they have.
Customer service is great! Flagpole isn't. How can they keep selling this faulty product?
