I purchased this flag stand to use in my Masonic Lodge to hold a Steward's Staff. It works great as is, but does even better when sand is placed in the bottom of this stand. It is made with a 3 inch dia. hole in the bottom to allow sand or other items to be put inside for ballast and then snapped sealed to hold it in. I would recommend this item to anyone needing a stand for a staff or a flag (sand definitely recommended if used for a heavy flag.)

I have my father in laws pole and flag that was in his Air Force office in the Pentagon. I wanted it to use in the corner of my office / den in my house and I needed the flag base/ stand. This works perfectly. It holds my 4' x 6' flag.

These are not too heavy and if I need more, I'll order some more from y'all. The children at childrens church can easily help us move our flags around.
