I purchased this product for my 18-month old daughter, who happens to be, an avid and fearless climber. I was really nervous that she would fall out of our 2nd-story, bedroom window while climbing up on the sill. Kidco really got it right with this window guard design. It is really sturdy and cannot be pushed through. It is also far more attractive than any of the jail-like guards out there. I feel I can finally relax with her around our windows. This is a must for families who want to protect their little ones. My husband installed easily and in minutes.

I got this because the only space in our son's bedroom for the crib was in front of the window. I didn't want him to be able to reach thru the bars and play with the blinds or get tangle in the cord. This works perfectly to protect him from any danger posed by the window or the blinds. It's behind his crib, so you only notice it if you look for it. It was easy to put together and easy to install. GREAT PRODUCT!

KidCo Mesh Window GuardVery decent product. My only one concern is that the release latches aren't that sturdy... it can be pulled out of the safety latch with a hard tug. Used reinforcement in my toddlers bedroom.... otherwise, love it.

When my very young children and I moved into our 3rd story apartment, I immediately became aware of the death trap that is the windows. I quickly logged on to Amazon and ordered 6 of these after reading various reviews all over the internet. At first I was like "$45 each??!" but then I realized that should something awful happen, I would look back and wish so badly that I'd spent that money to protect my kids. Installation was a breeze and they are very stable and safe. Natural light gets in just fine and I don't care that having them on the windows isn't very aesthetically pleasing as I'm far too concerned with my kids' safety. I don't even notice them anymore at all. In an emergency, evacuation via the window is a snap because adult hands can quickly get the guard off. Overall - an excellent purchase with super fast shipping to boot!

I have a 15 month old boy and purchasing this was on my list for child-proofing the apartment. Our window overlooks a drop and then a river --> need I say more. Toddlers move too swiftly for me to take chances and this was extremely easy to put together and install.
