4Prohoist 20' Flag Pole  Jun 09, 2011
By Q
This flag pole is built with decent quality. It feels study and durable and looks pretty good on the front lawn. However, I give it four stars for a few reasons. First, the hardware it comes with is cheap. The clips that hold the flag to the pole are almost unusable and I can already tell the rope itself won't last long. However, those things are inexpensive and easy to replace so it shouldn't deter you from buying this pole (especially since this is the cheapest aluminum pole I could find). Second, even gentle winds will make the pole move back and forth. It's kind of annoying and always has me nervous that it will bend. It is also made in China if you were wondering.

The flag it comes with is 3'x5' and is printed rather than stitched and embroidered. It is also a very light, silky type of material instead of nylon. It looks fine, but I'm not sure about durability.

This kit doesn't come with instructions, but I was able to find a video on their website that basically said to dig a hole two feet deep with an 18" diameter, fill the hole with concrete, then set the first section of the pole and level it. Once the concrete has set, attach the remaining sections. I also added a 1.25" PVC pipe inside the pole to give it some extra durability.

A word of advice: this flag pole is sold on Prohoists website for 60 bucks (shipping included) so I would definitely buy it there instead. I also posted a photo in the customer pictures area so you can see what it looks like.
