I bought this because after reading negative reviews on cheaper models I was hoping this professional higher priced light would work well. I am pleased with the light. My only mistake was not realizing that my flag pole is in the shade for several hours each day. It still lights the flag well until about 2-3 am. It has sturdy construction and the fasteners allow for easy adjustment. My only complaint is that the screw and nut holding the adjustment of the solar panel is kind of wimpy (1/8 inch) and the panel shifted in the wind until I really torqued it down. The light actually does a better job of illuminating my flag than the 120v. light it replaced. Would recommend this product.

I have experience with solar lights in my landscaping. They are not very bright. I thought since this light was placed so close to the flag it would be okay. I bought the commercial version (twice price or regular) realizing that brightness was a problem with solar. The beam the light projects is so narrow it never lit the flag unless you went out every few hours and twisted the flag pole to place it precisely under the flag, based on the way it was blowing. Then after a week it quit working on occassion or would only stay lit an hour or so. I returned it and am waiting for refund. Do not use solar as a source for flag pole lighting - you willbe disappointed. I am installing a halogen light on a nearby pole aimed at the flag.

Light is a very well made product and lights the flag very much most of the night. Brightness is good.

Installed the light per instructions and it remained bright for 2-3 hrs. It certainly does NOT stay bright for 6-12 hrs as advertised. Customer service was excellent, however, when I returned the light for a full refund.

I bought supposedly the best and the brightest and so far I am disappointed. I charged this for 48 hours before use, as directions stated, and at best it only lasts about 3 hours: from 8 p.m. to about 11 p.m. It is located where it gets lots of sun each day, so it should be bright and have a lot of charge. Not what I expected, considering the cost!
